Announcement    Hi, and welcome,

If you have questions of any kind please let me know, I am always eager to talk about my books, and happy to give advise. Currently I don't list any of the books that I make on this site because it didn't really pay. But if you are a returning customer or know my work from another place, you are of course welcome to contact me for a private listing, or with any questions you might have. - I still do make books and book art :-)

I believe that good craftmanship should always be the foundation on which interesting ideas and interesting design choices can then be built. Not the other way around.
All my journals are designed to hold up to daily use, and to last for a life time (and longer). Used materials and the binding techniques are selected to insure that the books open and close, stand on the shelf or being carried around in your bag with as few stress on the integral parts of the binding as possible.

Payment

(1) I accept payment through PayPal and major debit and credit cards as well as Etsy Gift Cards. If your bank account is located in the UK I also accept Bank Transfers and cheques. For the time being, I disabled this option for automatic selection since many customers accidentally chose this option. If you want to pay via cheque or bank transfer, please write me a message.

(2) Items get sent after I received your payment.
Etsy works such that you cannot finalize your purchase without starting the payment process, but sometimes it takes a while until payment gets through. I will only see your order (and consequently will only ship your order) after payment has been cleared in full.

(3) Should your purchase have been by mistake or contain false information, incorrect shipment information in particular, please contact me immediately so that I can change the information or cancel the sale.
If a package is undeliverable due to an inaccurate shipping address provided by the buyer, or if a package is unclaimed by the buyer, I cannot be held responsible. The buyer will therefore be responsible for the cost of (re-)shipping the package in this case.

(4) If your items get shipped to a destination outside the EU, customs may be due. They have to be paid at your country's tax office, and vary with the destination. I have no control over them, and they are your responsibility.

Shipping

(1) I usually send out ready made items 1-3 business days after I received your payment.

(2) Items are send via Royal Mail. I will inform you when your items get into the mail, and let you know the tracking data if applicable.

(3) If your items get shipped to a destination outside the EU, customs may be due. They have to be paid at your country's tax office, and vary with the destination. I have no control over them, and they are your responsibility.

Furthermore you have to make sure that you are allowed to import the items you purchase. I cannot be held responsible for items held by customs.
If you have questions or doubts about importing items, you are welcome to contact me, and I will try to help you to figure it out.

(4) Usually I ship out in new container boxes or envelopes. But I also recycle as much packaging material as possible and sometimes sent out orders in used or handmade boxes. Filling material is usually re-used packaging material and might be paper or plastic. If you have preferences regarding packaging material, please let me know via convo or during checkout.

(5) I carry the risk of the item being lost on the way. Meaning you get a full refund for items which do not reach you. All delivery times that I give you at the time of dispatch are estimates, and it takes longer until Royal Mail (and therefore I) regard a parcel as not-delivered. Do contact me immediately, though, if you have any concerns about something not reaching you, and I will then walk you through all steps.
All claims regarding non-reception must be made within five months after you placed your order to be eligible for a refund.

Additional policies and FAQs

All items are made in a smoke-free surrounding.

I live with two cats, but my workshop and studio are in a separate building where they don't enter.

Would you like a guarantee with your book?
I am sure my books will hold up to a lifetime on the shelf or in personal use. If you want a written guarantee with your book, let me know, and we will discuss the details.

* as necessary for the purpose of my legitimate interests, if those legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights or interests, such as 1) providing and improving my services: I use your information to provide the services you requested and in my legitimate interest to improve my services; and 2) Compliance with the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use: I use your information as necessary to comply with my obligations under the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use.

3. The THIRD PARTIES with whom I share personal information

IN SHORT: Essentially the delivery company has to know where to deliver your package, so I'll have to tell them.

ETSY. I share information with Etsy as necessary to provide you my services and comply with my obligations under both the Etsy Seller Policy and Etsy Terms of Use.
